A look inside my morning ritual (and why having your own is so important)

After having quite a few requests from my awesome tribe to post about my morning ritual, well – you have been heard and here it is 😉

I am going to dive right in to my morning ritual step by step, why I do it, why it is so important to have one, and how you can create your own. YES, I am giving you all this goodness!

So why is having a morning ritual so important?

Firstly, it is a time for you to show yourself some love and TLC. If you aren’t looking after your mind, body and soul first, you won’t be good for anyone.

It is also a sure way to get your mind right, so you can manifest exactly what you want and need for the day ahead. Clarity of the mind, and a positive mind is so crucial if you want to go out in to the world and serve as your highest self. One small positive thought in the morning can set your mind right for the whole day.

Lastly, it is a time to bring yourself ‘back’. What I mean by this is, sometimes we can wake up, and bring stress, baggage and annoyance from the previous day, and this isn’t good if you are wanting to be productive or positive. All we have is now, and it is so important that we live moment to moment, showing up as our best self. Bringing baggage from the day before is only going to cause ‘mind clutter’, and imagine if we did this every day! It would just be a constant build up of clutter which will leave our bodies in a very unhappy state. So use your morning ritual to leave behind yesterdays shenanigans! It’s a new day, a fresh start for you to create what ever you like 🙂

My daily ritual…

5:30am Exercise – My alarm goes off to go to the gym with my man (this is one of the best parts of my day. It is also bonding time for us both, as we both have busy weeks outside of each other)

6:30am Breakfast – I get home and make sure I have a nutritious and YUMMY breakfast, especially after exercising. I know most of you already know, but breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Skipping it can cause all sorts of problems with your body

7:00am Meditate! – I cannot go a day without meditating. If I do, cranky Ali comes out, and you don’t want to see cranky Ali. It completely sets my mind, body and soul up for the day!11170316_829544817122648_4017289440524648213_n

7:20am Shower and dry body brush, then cover myself in Jojoba Oil from my fav health food store near me, Energy Scoop!

8:00am Gratitude Practice – I then message three things I am grateful for to my man and to my girls. If you want to bring more happiness, joy and abundance in to your life, then practice gratitude! If you can’t be grateful for what you already have, what makes you think you will be happy with more? Make a gratitude practice part of your daily ritual, and you will become a magnet for more abundance

8:15am – I am then ready to start my day and create some magic in the world!

Now it is time to create your own!

Before I get you to pop on your self love hat and create your morning ritual, I want to make something clear.

Your ritual has to be something that will resonate with YOU. It has to be something that makes you feel good!

It is absolutely fine to use mine, or others as inspiration, but your ritual has to be something you enjoy and fills up your whole body with love and good feelings.

If it doesn’t, I guarantee you wont stick to it. Your ritual has to be a non-negotiable so it MUST be something you are happy to commit to. I didn’t create mine over night. It has taken months and a lot of tweaking for me to get it right! Once you get it right and it feels good to you, it becomes food for your soul, and missing a day can have you feeling all sorts of wacky!

NOW IT’S TIME FOR YOU TO GET REAL WITH YOURSELF GORGEOUS. YOUR GOING TO HAVE TO DIG DEEP, TALK TO YOUR HEART AND LET IT TELL YOU WHAT IS NURTURING FOR YOU!

TO DO THIS, YOU CAN TAKE YOURSELF SOMEWHERE THAT MAKES YOU FEEL GOOD AND GETS YOUR CREATIVE JUICES FLOWING. IT MIGHT BE TAKING YOURSELF OUTSIDE WITH NATURE, SITTING BY THE OCEAN, OR SIPPING ON YOUR FAVOURITE CUP OF HERBAL TEA. IT MIGHT EVEN BE THROUGH A MEDITATION. WHAT EVER IT MAY BE, TAKE YOURSELF THERE.

Take out a journal and pen, and write down your FIVE non-negotiables. Make a commitment to yourself to do this every day for the next 2 weeks, and watch how much this one daily practice can shift your entire life.
